Doctoral Program in Health Psychology

The Doctoral Program in Health Psychology trains experts capable of scientifically evaluating individuals’ attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs about health, developing psychosocial interventions, and contributing to academic literature. The program includes advanced theoretical knowledge along with comprehensive research and practice.

Students focus on the neuropsychological foundations, psychophysiological mechanisms, and clinical applications of health psychology, while also specializing in stress management, behavior change, patient education, and the development of community-based health programs. During the dissertation process, they are encouraged to conduct original and scientifically rigorous research.

Graduates of the program may work as lecturers or researchers at universities; they can also serve as consultants, coordinators, or project managers in hospitals, clinics, and health policy development units. Additionally, they may lead psychological support programs targeting public health.
